The butterfly
Do you see the butterfly?
Do you notice its beauty?
Do you hear the croud cheering
as it flies, like a deity?
And although once they hated her
when she didn't look so pretty,
Can you tell they all now want to become
just like her in the city?
"She's so free! She just flies around,
and people stare at her in awe.
Collecting her precious nectar,
so sweet, without a flaw.
And I'd sure become a butterfly
if I ever have the chance",
says a kid with a camera,
capturing her little dance.
Why, it's the same worm you almost stepped on,
which was going about its day.
It couldn't cry for help,
and you didn't care anyway!
