Hey Mom,

Let me count the ways I love you,
in today's lingo.

I love you to the depths
of my Wi-Fi signal,
the breadth of my social media,
and the height of my selfie arm.

Even when you're out of sight,
I feel your vibe,
reaching to the ends
of my writco stories and
Whatsapp chats..

I love you to the level
of my daily essentials:
my phone, charger, and yes,
even my dosa you cook
I love you freely,
like how I scroll through YouTube;

I love you purely,
like dodging your
'Did you do your homework?' texts.

I love you with the passion
I put into curating my Spotify playlists,
and with the trust
I had in you fixing my childhood
scrapes and bruises.

I love you with a love that seemed
to fade with my teenage anger,
but never really left.
I love you with every breath,
every emoji, every meme of my life!
and even if my phone never allows,
I’ll love you even more after we've scrolled through our last feed.
