She was making dinner
with bruised hands
and a strong heart
there he was sitting,
at the head of the table
in the dining hall
waiting to be served
by the same hands
he caused pain
and made weak ,
he washed his hands
and rinsed them
they looked fresh
like a whole apple
what an irony!
He claimed he loved her
and that causing her pain
was also a way
of him showing love
I hope one day
she realizes
that love should be sweet
and not painful
