Report Cards
My brothers and I would run home the day we knew our grade cards would be sitting in the mailbox.
one by one we slowly opened the envelopes not ripping it to ensure we could glue it back and reseal each one so they looked undisturbed.
we would change our grades as best we could real quickly.
and seal them back up.
throw them back in the mailbox.
but what we didn't know was my parents expected us to do this. so a few days Pryor our dad had called each of our teachers personally and got our grades.
so when he opened the mailbox and opened each envelope to reveal what they said.
he smiled really big and looked at each of us and said great job kids.
but do you want to tell me anything. we looked at him excitedly and said "no daddy."
so as he gets ready to hand us our $20 reward. he says I'll be keeping this for myself and your now grounded for 2 weeks for each grade you changed on each of your report cards.
I already know what your grades were.
you definitely are my children.
I love you all.
oh and to bring up your grades hers all the extra credit work you need to get done by the end of the week and turn in!
