There are human souls
that loved and lost,
fighting through lives
they never understood.

The parents that left,
the friends that walked away,
their biological families
who never understood.

Being lost in the winds,
being blown to and fro,
hardening the hearts
and confusing the minds.

We can only imagine
the pain they carry within,
as we live our lives
in the passing by.

Can the pain they carry
ever be mended,
a broken heart
ever be healed?

Can they ever feel love again,
the value deep within,
as they have become
the throwaway of society’s trash?
