I dont know how much this one is right but its just my way of thinking..

When you know that the root of the tree is not strong enough then its obvious that even if you will tie the tree with a rope, its gonna fall only.

In the same way theres a lot difference between believing in God and in ourself.

The root is God and the tree is us. So its really good to have your faith in God than in ourself. Choice is yours otherwise the result is clear from this illustration.
