"What if I tell you I have little time left?"

"What ? Again ? You are on a tour ? Didn't you were back last month only from a week long tour; and not to forget a tour month before that?" She exclaimed. She couldn't believe, how he could manage to travel so frequently and moreover how does he manage his boss for leaves while she is struggling even for a leave for a day.

Before he could explain anything to her, he asked again "Can, i join your office ? Is there are openings?" She laughed herself on her statement.

"I am serious" he said in a firm voice.

She noticed the serious tone in her voice and sensed a fear. "Are you switching the job ? Are you leaving the town permanently?" She got disturbed by the thought of getting distanced.

"I have been seeing some serious doctors since past few months and have been diagnosed with internal bleeding in abdomen and its serious. I want to spend some time with you. Let's plan a trip somewhere." He said in a serious and sad tone at the same time. His voice was trembling, eyes filled with tears.

"What?" She exclaimed. She got confused and didn't understand what he was talking about. It seems like a comedy to her. Because the guy she knew him to be would never visit any doctor in his life and now he was talking about being with doctor for quite few months. It was lot to take for her.

Before she could say anything else, he burst out laughing, "Got you. Good news, i got a promotion and sadly have to join in by next month in head office."

"Congratulations" she screamed hugging him.

Sometime lie is better tool to use on than the truth which could hurt your loved ones. She will find out one day when it has to be, why bring the catastrophy early. He faked big smile to her to be part of her joy while hiding his pain in heart.
