Chapter 7 : Toe to Toe
As Owen and Arielle finished their successful mission, the leader approached them and requested them to train together. Owen had no objections, but Arielle looked hesitant at first.
The training ground was spacious, surrounded by tall trees and a few wooden poles scattered here and there. They stood across from each other, ready to begin their mock battle. Owen knew that he was a good fighter, but he had never fought against someone as skilled as Arielle.
The fight began, and it was clear from the start that they were evenly matched. They exchanged blows, blocked each other's attacks, and counterattacked with impressive agility. The onlookers watched in awe as the two magic-less fighters danced around each other, their movements almost poetic in their grace.
As the fight went on, Owen began to feel something stirring within him. It wasn't just the thrill of battle but something deeper, a sense of admiration and respect for Arielle. He tried to push it down and focus on the fight, but it kept creeping back up.
