Julia's P.O.V.

As he held the back of my bare waist , I gasped my hand automatically resting on his chest when he pulled me towards him , a warm feeling embracing my cheeks , and I could feel myself blushing like crazy and pressed my lips together.

"I will wait for you."

As I spoke in a low tone he simply and sweetly kissed my eyes , his soft lips pressed on my eyes and I smiled , after that he smiled at me and turned around.

"Take care , my princess."

The words he spoke made my heart beat more faster and I smiled looking at him not able to say anything anymore with how flushed I was and bit my lower lip , he left through the window from where he came from.

The next day I was just sitting in my dad's office and he was looking visibly frustrated about something , but what , even I have no idea about.I have never seen him this frustrated before and thus broke the silence and spoke.

"is something the matter , dad?"

He finally looked at me and a small smile formed on his lips , maybe he knows that I am also worried seeing him like this and that's why he is smiling like this to make me feel less worried.

"Nothing serious , there is just a bad news from the palace . It looks like his majesty has been poisoned."

When he spoke my mouth opened in shock and I looked at him not able to believe it . Our king Raja Krishnadevarya Rajput was someone who was a very paranoid king , his meals were checked thrice before he ate them , then how did he got poisoned?


Note : Duke or Prince Espret , Julia's father was the recent king's cousin . The paranoid king not wanting to have his cousin threaten his seat gave him a new surname so that he couldn't interfere with anything related to throne.

• There are total 2 Dukes , one is Duke Espret and the other one is Duke Astalamar ( recent king's real brother) , they both were refrained from interfering in anything related to the royal family even when they both were a part of it.
