Becoming Amber
Chapter 2:
I slowly rolled over onto I'm side before stretching and opening my eyes. I froze. This room was not my bedroom. The walls weren't a light blue colour I had picked out many years ago. They were a deep shade of burgundy. The curtains were still closed and as a result the room seemed almost eerie and cold. Something caught my eye as I was taking in the room. In a chair that matched the color on the wall slept the man of said he was my brother. His clothes were wrinkled indicating that he had been there for many hours.
I climbed out of the bed, trying to be as silent as possible as to not wake the sleeping man. When I look down at my clothes, I realised that I was now wearing a night gown and not the dress from last night. Telling myself to forget about what I was wearing and try to figure out a way out his place. I started searching for a phone for some to call for help.
My eyes came to rest on a pile of clothes that had been laid out of the dressing table. A little blue blouse and long black skirt with black shoes that had clearly been chosen for me to wear.
"Wasn't sure what you like to wear nowadays so I just went with one of your favourite outfits before you left." A voice said suddenly breaking the silence in the room.
With a load shriek I immediately spun around to face the man stretch in the chair.
"I'm sorry I didn't mean to startle you." Lord Hill said holding his hands up to show that he meant me no harm.
"Please can you just tell me where I am and how I can get home." I asked the man again as my search for a phone came up empty. I did however take a few steps closer to the door so that I could make a run for it if I need to get away from the crazy man.
"You are in your old room, I left exactly as it was when you left; you can always redecorate if you don't like it anymore."
"I don't care about the room or redecorating anything right now." I yelled in frustration.
"Amber you are starting to scare me, I thought last nights breakdown was just a combination of you feeling overwhelmed and possibly a little too much wine." Lord Hill look like a person at a complete lose.
"I just want to go home." I said bursting into tears and landing in a heap on the floor. I heard the chair creek Lord Hill made his way over to me, where I sat on the floor. He knelt down next to me but didn't touch me presumably in an attempt to not scare me more.
"Please get dressed so I can take you downstairs for some breakfast." He asked politely, his words were soft and gentle.
Coming to a conclusion in my mond, I nodded and allowed him to help me...
