" What are you doing here ?" I turned around to see the boss standing with a dozen of armed men. He was wearing a suit , his brown eyes glintering and yet showing no emotion, as if he was dead. The white shirt he wore inside the suit had drops of red on it.

" You kil...killed someone" my voice a mere whisper.
" It's non of your business", he replied shaking his head as if killing someone was as easy as drinking a cup of tea.

I tried looking past his men into the room to get a look of the person he killed right now.
After trying and failing to see through the gaps, I asked the question " Where is my family ?"
" You don't get to ask questions when you have broken rules Princess" ignoring my question, this bull- headed male standing in front of me looks at me as if I did some punishable offense.

" Oh really ? why don't you kill me too ? just like the night your men tried shooting me with God knows what weapons.." he turns around and signals his men to leave to which they obey immediately ( such minions, huh)

Grabbing my hand, he drags me to another room and pushes me inside.
" What's your problem? why can't you obey simple orders ? " he asks , anger radiating off him. The metallic bloody odour from his shirt hits my nose and I remember I am standing in front of a monster who will stop at nothing less.

" Oh hello Mr...whatever! I am not your slave. Tell me where my family is or else ..."
" Or else...? " his mocking tone shoots my anger.
" Or else I'll run away again!" I answer.

" Okay, you may try. But remember, you have signed a contract with me and if you run away, we can shoot you on sight".
Oh yes the contract. But who cares about a piece of paper if you have nothing else to lose.

" The contract you made me sign forcefully. You created this mess ! you brought me here , tried killing me and now my family is missing because of you ! " my voice comes out firm and loud , for which I internally pat my back.

He comes dangerously close and replies in a firm yet soft voice " If I wanted to kill you, I would have done that the day I brought you here. I don't know where your family is but a team has been sent to search for them. You'll have to trust me on this or else I will have no other option than to imprison you".
I somehow knew his threat wasn't empty. He won't hesitate to do what he says.

" What's your name ?" I suddenly ask.
A small hint of surprise crosses his face but he hides it too immediately.
" They call me Boss".
" I know that. I am not your minion , I won't call you boss. Give me a name"
I don't know where I got this sudden boast of confidence but I was so proud of it.

" Jacob" he replied.

The next words leaving my mouth were something that left me shocked ,
" Jacob, if you don't find my family in
the next week, I'll make sure you regret having me here in the first place", I say and leave.
