An Innocent Concern
A small girl asks her politician father to explain the difference between a party and a family. The politician father replies, "In a party, we take care of the country and its citizens, and in a family, we take care of the family members. Also, you should know that without a country, there is no family." The politician father started detailing to the little girl the progress and development the party had brought.
Tears started rolling out of the little girl's eyes, and she just sat there folding her little hands with her head down. Her politician father could not see her face but could feel her teardrops falling onto his feet. He then asked her, "Why are you crying?" "You should feel happy and proud."
Wiping out the rolling tears, the little girl replied in a whimpering tone, "My dear father, forgive me; my mind does not perceive the concept of progress and development. For me, you and my mother are my progress and development. Sometimes your prolonged absence hurts me a lot, and I badly long for your love." "Father, can a country thrive without the happiness of its citizens, be it families, men, women, or children? Can joy and love be bought with money? All I know is that I love you, and you are my happiness. If only money brings love, then "Oh, my dear father, I don't have any, and without your love, I'm nothing, and I'm nowhere."
The politician father,.....( Now I must say, the father), couldn't stop tears from rolling his eyes and hugged his little girl.
Rolling tears continued to flow from her eyes. This time it was tears of happiness because, after a long time, her father gave her a much-awaited hug. Kissing her father, she said, "My dearest father, please continue your duty to the country because the country needs you." Father interrupted and said, "Yes, very true, darling." "Still, I need you and our family also."
She said, "I love you very much, my dearest father," and he responded, "I too love you very much, my beloved darling daughter."
