In the English language, there are so many words that can be used to describe sad and gorry events, but there aren't nearly enough words to describe a happy event.
Why is that?
Well, humans are complex creatures, you see. And, most of us tend to think more on the negative side, or at least hang on to sad memories.
So, we create more words that we use to describe sad and gorry events, because we use them more often.
