Politely the saints replied, Bhai we didn't know." He said sarcastically, "Oh, you didn't know. Well you will remember the beating I am about to give you."
He grabbed his horse whip and began to viciously beat the saints mercilessly.
The saints began chanting, "Swaminarayan, Swaminarayan......"
Their backs were bloodied and bruised. But, they did not utter a word. Seeing their patience and virtue the hunter's anger began to subside.
After sometime a saint calmly said, " Although you beat us, we would like to share you a take with you that will be beneficial."
"What are you going to tell me? Your fake garments, tilak chanlo will not change my opinion of you. You didn't even apologize for ruining my day, " the hunter barked with glaring eyes.
A young saint said, Swami let's continue walking and share the tale with someone else. If we stay we will be beaten again. The pain on my back is unbearable.
"Sadhuram always wish the best for everyone. " Apkar upar upkar karvo.
A true saint withstand himsa and directs everyone towards the path of compassion, humility and love.
The hunter was a not a simple person. He was Jasabhai Kamaliya from the village kotiya. He had left his village by horse in the evening to hunt. On his way he noticed the black deer and began to chase.
