Arjun's Tour
ARJUN'S TOUR
Arjun is in a very happy mood because tomorrow he and his friends are going to New Delhi for a college tour.Despite being happy,he feels bad for some of his poor friends who are unable to come to tour as their parents can't afford such a large amount.
Arjun belongs to a middle class family.His father is a clerk in a government school and his mother is a home maker.Arjun has a little sister who is 10 years younger to him.Arjun has a very beautiful home but it is on loan.His father's salary could hardly manage loan and their living.This situation is well understood by the responsible Son,Arjun.
Arjun has wished to help his poor friends who cannot afford for the tour but his middle class life didn't permit him.With the mixed emotions of happiness and sadness,he arranges his clothes in to a tourist bag.Later,he goes to his bed to sleep.The excitement for going to a tour doesn't give him sleep.
Rahul is Arjun's best friend.He too accompanies Arjun for the tour.Rahul is just like Arjun.Both of them have the same ideas, principles and character.He too belongs to a middle class family.They study in a famous Engineering college in Tamil Nadu.Both of them study very well.Arjun wishes to be an Engineer.His friend Rahul wishes to be a Lecturer as he has passion for teaching profession.
Next day,everyone in the college are ready for the tour.They all are entered to the college bus.It is a really day of enjoyment with pop music and dance.They have fun in the bus.Finally,they reach New Delhi.
They book rooms in a famous 5 star hotel.
Arjun feels very hungery and he says to his friend Rahul," I want to have something to drink and eat.Are you coming with me?Let's have something from the hotel." Rahul said,"okay, let's go"Arjun takes money only for his food and nothing extra.Rahul takes no money as Arjun said that he would pay for the food.
In the hotel,Arjun chooses a seat near by the window so he can see what's happening outside.It is just for passtime till the food gets ready.He sees some poor children begging for money.This sight moves Arjun and Rahul.They feel pity for them.They also blame the society which ignored them.After seeing them,Arjun loses his appetite.But still he eats something as he doesn't want to waste the food.
Arjun comes outside the hotel where a girl of age 10 begs him for giving some money.As he doesn't have any money,Arjun tries to move on,but the girl holds his right leg tightly not allowing him to go.Arjun feels pity for her and says "my money is in the hotel room,wait here and I'll come back after getting my pursue".The poor girl agreed.
After taking the pursue,Arjun comes out of the room and reaches the street where he found that poor girl.He can't find that girl there.He searches far and wide but the girl is missing.He asks an auto driver about that poor girl.He said,"I don't know about the girl.A mafia is working here, compelling the poor children to beg"With disappointment,Arjun comes back to his room and tells Rahul that the girl is not there.He also feels bad that the poor children are getting tortured by the Mafia.
Arjun thinks that he should guide the society to the right path and clean the society without any beggars.The incident that happened and the things that he heard about the mafia highlighted that he should become an IAS officer.Only then,he will get the power to change the society.
After the tour,Arjun reaches home.He prepares with determination to crack UPSC.Finally,Arjun acheives his dream.At present he is an IAS officer in kaniyakumari district.He is a good civil servant,working hard to see a nation without any beggars.He also educates poor children on his own expense.The incident that happened in New Delhi had a positive impact on Arjun's life and made him an IAS officer.
