It was an evening stroll in the park, and the melody of Kishore Kumar was already playing on my lips.

ज़िंदगी का सफ़र है ये कैसा सफ़र
कोई समझा नहीं कोई जाना नहीं

Behind me, I heard the following lines sung by someone.

है ये कैसी डगर चलते हैं सब मगर
कोई समझा नहीं कोई जाना नहीं

I turned back and saw an elderly man in his late 60s singing the song. We smiled at each other. Together, we continued with the song.

ज़िंदगी को बहुत प्यार हमने किया
मौत से भी मुहब्बत निभायेंगे हम
रोते रोते ज़माने में आये मगर
हँसते हँसते ज़माने से जायेँगे हम

It was a beautiful evening, and we often used to bump into each other in the park and go through some beautiful old Bollywood melodies. The last couple of walks in the park went alone without him. My glance combed the entire route I used to walk, but I couldn't see him anywhere. Upon enquiring, I came to know that he had passed away recently.
