Raj entered the college and a girl bumped into him, she looked confused and asked him "Excuse me, Today is my first day here can you tell me where is the Dean's office?" Raj looked at her and said "sorry mam I am new here too so I don't know". The girl looked surprised and said "Mam? Do I look that old?" Raj said "no no I just said it like that". The girl laughed and said "relax I was just kidding, by the way which section have you got?" Raj said "b section". The girl smiled and said "good than see you in the first period" and she started running but then she stopped and looked at Raj and said "by the way Nice to meet you I am Priya". Raj smiled and was about to tell his name when she just ran away.
Raj went to his class and sat down looking for the girl he saw earlier, suddenly she enters the class and writes her name on the board and said "Good morning students I am Priya your teacher for this year. Don't be shocked you first years don't get any senior doctor, you get interns like us, but that doesn't mean you get to slack off". Everyone was surprised and she started with the attendance "Roll no.1, no.2 ....... no.17" Raj stood up said "Yes mam" she looked at him smiled and winked at him. Raj was surprised he looked here and there to see no one saw and then he sat down. Nothing else exciting happened the entire day until the break time when Raj because of his silent nature was sitting alone and having lunch, Priya came next to him and sat down and said "were you surprised there in the class?" Raj stood up when he saw her and said "Good morning mam, oh sorry afternoon, I mean good afternoon mam." Priya started laughing and said "you look cute when you are all flustered, sit down and don't call me mam, I also a student just like you although I am a bit senior that's it." Raj sat down and said "you still are a teacher mam and I respect that, it has got nothing to do with age". Priya smiled and said "ok fine, but tell me, were you surprised to see me as a teacher". Raj said "Yes I was". She hit him on the back and said "nice, grand entry successful, now I need to be a strict teacher". After listening this Raj was not able to stop his laugh, seeing which Priya asked him "why are you laughing?" He said "nothing mam, I was just thinking how you would look like a serious teacher". She herself smiled and playfully hit him again and said "hey I can be strict if I want." Raj said "probably mam but why do you want to be a strict teacher? You can always be a teacher who is a friend of their students, that will suit you well." Priya smiled and said "you think I can be a good friendly teacher? So will you be my first friend?" Raj looked towards her extended hand and shakes it.
Here started a friendship that will soon be a very important part of the story moving forward.
After one month it was the fresher's and farewell day in the college and Raj was present there Priya was also invited with the rest of the final year's intern who became doctors next year. Some senior students brought some alcohol in the party and were very drunk till the party ended, some of them tried to hit on Priya and she beat them into pulp, except who was going grab her from the back and Raj saw him and tackled him down, then Priya saw a glass bottle and smashed it over the guys head. After the fight Raj asked "are you alright mam?" Priya said "yeah I am fine." and then she teasingly said "although you didn't get the chance to save me and be a hero, that's sad." Raj got flustered again. Priya laughed and said "relax you don't need to impress me, I am already impressed", Raj was red as a tomato and he looked down and then he realised some of them are bleeding he said "mam, fight on campus is not allowed, you could get punished and not become a doctor this year, cause you yourself are a bit drunk."
