Sara -

Cindy started getting sick, she couldn't keep anything down. Her appetite was gone, and she just, stared at her food as if my mom put poison in it.

Mom -

"Cindy, you need to eat something."

Cindy -

"I'm not hungry," I whispered. The door to the front house opened, revealing Rose my girlfriend.

Rose -

"Hey," Cindy smiled a little. She gave me a kiss on the cheek before hugging me.

Cindy -

"Please...take me away from here...any where but here..." She nodded a tad bit. There was something I had to do.

Sara -

Cindy disappeared, completely. Mom found her, but she was so sick, she couldn't come home. My mother loves her baby, Cindy, if anything happens to her, it would crush mom, and after last night, whatever happened, made Cindy want to be close, and never let us go, sorta like a little kid. Cindy got home past curfew, mom busted her, and she was very shocked, she didn't know what to say to Mom, so, she stood and took it.

Cindy handed her something from inside a bag, then she started crying, as she handed it to her. Cindy watched as she opened the envelope, it was money, Mom smacked her with the envelope.

Mom -

"Where did you get this all!?"

Cindy -

"I...saved up...this is money..." I whispered. "It's to pay for my hospital bills..." Her mouth dropped as she looked through all the cash.

Mom -

"No...honey I have enough money to cover everything," she stared at the envelope.

Cindy -

"No, I need you to take it."

Mom -

"I'm serious...I'm not taking your money."

Cindy -

I started crying more, "please just take it...I can't live here and have you pay for everything!" I rubbed my eyes.

Mom -

"Okay, I'll take it," she smiled a little and calmed down. "Don't cry now," I kissed her forehead. "Now...what have you been up to all night?" She blushed a little as Rose came in behind her.

Rose -

"The carnival was fun wasn't it?" I smiled at Cindy. I handed her a rose, and a huge teddy bear.

Cindy -

"I was at the carnival...with all my classmates...but mostly Rose."

Sara -

"That field trip, it's always fun," mom smiled.

Cindy -

I nodded a little. Rose grabbed my hand and pulled me closer to her.

Rose -

"I got her to eat..." I whispered. "She ended up puking it all up though," her smile faded.

Cindy -

"Mom, don't give me that money back, or I'll go out and fuck a lot of guys just to get that back," her mouth dropped.

Rose -

"My little skank, you wouldn't cheat on me."

Cindy -

I smiled and kissed her cheek. "No, I wouldn't."

Mom -

"Good...I thought you were joking..." She raised an eyebrow at me.

Cindy -

"Oh? You do?" Rose smacked my arm, "hey! Remember!? Cancer girl! Easy bruises!" She wrapped her arms around me and gave me a kiss.

Rose -

"There...now tell me, will you get bruises if I kiss you like this again?" She shook her head no. "Good."

Mom -

"Okay! Go to your room!" They both looked at me, they are so... weird...I've never met a girl that likes girls, and now I have a daughter that is liking, liking right now.

Cindy -

"Okay," I whispered. I led Rose to my room, "you can keep me warm anyways."

Rose -

I closed the door behind us.

Sara -

"Mom, you can't just let her do that."

Mom -

"It's not a boy, we are fine..." I rubbed my eyes with the envelope still in hand.

Sara -

"How does that even work?" I stared at the downstairs, stairs.

Mom -

"Sara, I don't want to know, and you, don't either."

Sara -

"Okay..."

Mom -

"Whatever they do in that room, stays in that room, and if you see something outside that room, then you need to tell me."

Sara -

"Do you know something I don't?" Her eyes were wide, as if she'd seen it all.

Mom -

"No honey, I just...don't need my innocent child that has seen a man dong, seeing more than she needs to."

Sara -

"Mom, will you just forget about it!?" She shook her head no. "It was a mistake..."

Mom -

"Fucking an older guy on the street, is not, a mistake, trust me hun, I know."

Sara -

"Wait..." She walked away before I could question what she just said.

Cindy -

Rose cuddled up to me as she whispered soothing thoughts, because all I felt right now, was pain.

Rose -

"Cindy...do you want something for the pain?" She shook her head.

Cindy -

"No...I...don't want it...I'm just tired Rose..." I shivered a little.

Rose -

"It's okay..." I cuddled closer to her.

Cindy -

"I don't think...it's okay..." Her hands cupped my cheeks and she had me look at her.

Rose -

"It's okay," I smiled at her. I had her cuddle more and she soon got warm. Miss. Vale, came in and checked on us, she smiled a little. "Cindy isn't doing so good..." I whispered through the empty room.

Mom -

"Is she that cold?" Rose shook her head.

Rose -

"She's in pain, and she wouldn't let me leave her to grab something for her pain."

Mom -

"Pain?"

Rose -

"Cindy said she's in pain," I shrugged. Her mother slowly sat on the edge of the bed.

Mom -

"My mother had cancer," I sighed. "She died when I was five years old."

Rose -

"That's... horrible..." I nodded a little.

Mom -

"Your not to good with sympathy are you?" She shook her head no.

Rose -

"Cindy has always had this problem, if it wasn't her dad, then she was dying."

Mom -

"Was she...happy before me?"

Rose -

"...Cindy had depression before you..." She froze. "She had a therapist that she was seeing, and that's about it, but after she met you, she seen hope."

Mom -

"Why me?"

Rose -

"Your her mother, and for a long time, Cindy looked every where."

Mom -

"Are you sure she looked for me?" Rose glared at me.

Rose -

"Do you not want her because she's sick?" She shook her head no.

Mom -

"No, I do," I smiled a little. "I just need to know, is this, what she wants?"

Rose -

"Yes, this is what she wants."

Mom -

"Oh?"

Rose -

"For a long time, Cindy wanted a mom, and far as she knew, you were dead, your very important to her."

Cindy -

"Shh!" I groaned.

Rose -

Her mother freaked and ran fast out the door. We slept in so late that her mom came into the room while Cindy was stripping naked.

Cindy -

We all froze, my mom's face brightened red.

Mom -

"I'm so sorry," I cried.

Cindy -

We awkwardly went to the table. Sara stared at us.

Mom -

"You look like your feeling better Cindy."

Cindy -

"Seems how you aren't looking at me, I don't think so." She refused to turn around. I sat down slowly. "So, last night..." Mom turned fast.

Mom -

"You didn't hear us chatting did you? I was hoping..."

Cindy -

"No...I didn't..." She smiled a little.

Mom -

"Good..."

Cindy -

"Good?" She sighed. "Listen...I...was thinking about going to the ocean..."

Mom -

"You know, we should go shopping for a new bed...and maybe blankets... because you still have mine."

Cindy -

"Sorry..." She smiled and shook her head.

Mom -

"It's okay...I think everything is going to be okay...and if you learned anything..." I placed my hand on her shoulder, "is if, you need someone...I'm always here Cindy...mother's, father's, we will all be there for our children, it doesn't matter how old you get, so, just remember, just because your twelve, doesn't mean I'm not your mom."

Cindy -

I smiled a tad bit, not knowing what the hell she's ranting on about, "sure..."
