The asteroid's motion is monitored by the recent invention of NASA called 'The Atmos Monitor'. It is actually an AI drone launched by them to visualise the activities in space. The asteroid is about 1.7 million km2 in diameter travelling with a speed enough to crash into earth's atmosphere unburnt. Moreover there are no weapons in the artillery that could pulverise the giant chunk of rock. At dire situations nuclear weapons come handy but it has serious after effects. Even if it is broken into small chunks several smaller asteroids will emerge as the weapon's maximum range is below the incinerating layers of atmosphere. It will crash into the Pacific Ocean near Hawaii and is expected to generate massive destruction all over the globe, especially with the floods.
