The entire Eden is full of trees laden with fruits, why do you desire my fruit only asked the tree of knowledge.

That's maybe because the knowledge is antithesis of blind faith and without faith even the God is questioned, maybe this fear prevents the God to instil wisdom and knowledge in all human.
Maybe He wants everyone to blindly follow Him.
Oh you are trying to make Him look mean.
He is definitely not like that, He can't ever be.
Maybe He doesn't think it's wise for me to get more knowledge at present, but you see how fast I have grown, I have matured enough to take care of Eve too.
Imagine the knowledge I will gain by your fruit.
But I had tried to give my point of view, a different perspective, which is always appreciable, as I am the tree of knowledge not for nothing.
Maybe the serpant already had tasted my fruit and that is why he urged Eve to ask you.
See the reasons can be many and all logically sound, but you also have a reason and that too is sound.
Now that I have told you I won't be guilty of not giving you reasons.
That tree of knowledge was indeed very wise but I won't agree with his reasoning and I will still have the fruit as what difference will it make to Him.
I am His creation afterall.
