Nkechi was chosen to be the chief bridesmaid because she was Amarachi's bestfriend. Life is full of shocks and surprises. Unfortunately, either of them would experience one soon.
Amarachi: 'Spending the rest of your life with the love your life is so exciting". I said while looking at Nkechi who was frowning while typing on her phone. "Hey"! I tap on her shoulder.
Nkechi: Anything wrong?
Amarachi: "You weren't paying attention to what i was saying". I complained.
Nkechi: Oh i'm so sorry bestie. What were you saying?
Amarachi: Nevermind. What's up? Why were you frowning?
Nkechi: It's nothing.
Amarachi: Really? Are you sure?
Nkechi: Yes i am. So about what we discussed earlier, have you been able to speak with Stanley?
Amarachi: "I'll speak with him soon. He's actually with his mum. They're preparing for the list of items that's to be delivered at my parents house today." I replied while trying to call my mum.
Nkechi: You need to try out your wedding gown and see how it fits you and i need to try mine too. We don't have enough time. The wedding is next week Saturday.
Amarachi: "Sure! Just relax, Debbie's on her way with my gown and your dress". (I sighed and rolled my eyes at my friend getting all worked up when i'm the one who's supposed to be. Hello! i'm the bride here!!! )
Nkechi: Great! Have you tried calling her to know where she is?
Amarachi: Girl! She'll be here soon. Stop worrying.
Nkechi: I'm not worried. I just want everything to be perfect.
Amarachi: "And it will be". (Not like it's your wedding. I muttered to myself. Don't get me wrong, Nkechi is a nice girl but she is too much sometimes. She could be bossy and at the same time friendly, calm and caring.)
Nkechi: Did you say something?
Amarachi: What? Nothing.
Nkechi( smiling): I can't wait to be your chief bridesmaid.
Amarachi: "I know right. And i can't wait for my wedding to take place". I said while staring at my pre-wedding photoshoot dreamily with my love Stanley on my phone screen.
