What ! Wife and kids?
I did not know what to think.Was this good or bad news ?
Ever since I met Him in that vip bus on my way to Douala six years ago,he had never brought his family home .
I'm sure this was a family pleasure trip.I was not part of it.Why would he tell me then?
Oh I see.Ofcourse Him could not hide in Cameroon.I grew even more angry this time.

"Oh! good for you daddy."I replied harshly to the news.

" Good... for meeeee? What's come over you today Christa?Are you seeing someone else?Do you want me le leave you alone?"

"Which of the questions do you want me to answer first?" I said raising my voice.

Him sighed and dropped the phone.I nearly fainted at the sound of a dropped call.I became twice tired and sad.Him had never dropped the phone on me this way.I felt guilty.

"Christa you were harsh.Can't you see that man loves you so much?Why are you so childish?"

My mind police was at it again.How I wish I could raise my hands on it!

I fell on my bed like a log of wood.My heart was beating so fast.I could suddenly not breath.I tried to call Him but his phone was switched off.I burst into tears. Breathing was becoming more and more difficult.

I immediately called Mary one of my close friends.She was my nearest neighbour.Few minutes later she was around my house with her brand new toyota corolla.She carried me to the nearest clinic.

Mary was an accountant in one of the most prestigeous banks in town.She was a very beautiful and intelligent young woman but had no steady love relationship.She was so proud and so honest.These were her flaws and kept men running away.Her father was a farmer and her mother was of late.She loved her father so much and did everything she could to make him happy.Lately she was seeing someone.I prayed it worked this time around .I was hoping to ask her about our new inlaw but the welcome party stuffs made me forget.
It seems I passed out for an hour and more.

I collapsed while on our way to the hospital.When I came around several hours later all the girls were at my head bed.
Their faces were serious and worried.Adela one of the girls were reciting the rosery.
I tried to sit up but I was very dizzy.

"Christa I told you you were pregnant!" Mary said smiling.

My heart exploded.I almost went mad.What was this?Pregnant?Mary was like this.Very harsh announcer.I hated this side of her so much.
Oh no! I burst into tears again.

"Please stop crying Christa.Children are a gift from God Adela said holding my hand and smiling.You are 35 it was time you had a baby !

"Him will not be happy with me.This was not his plan nor mine.I'm so disappointed.I don't want to lose my man.I don't want any baby now!" I seard crying out my louder.

Mary was visibly very irritated.I knew what she was thinking.I did not care.I was not ready to lose the father of my child.I'll do away with it.Him must not know about this.

The doctor came in and handed the rest of the test to Mary.I was very tired.All other test were ok.The doctor asked the girls to step out for a moment.When they left, he sat on my bed ,held my hands smiled and said:

"Young woman,I see this news is not the best.Why would a beautiful young woman like you cry out her lungs because she is pregnant?"

He sounded very amused.I'm sure he was wondering that should be good news at my age.I wanted to fall on him and cry again but I retained my emotions.

"Do you want to talk to me?I can keep even the worst secrets young woman."He sounded so friendly.

"I've got no secrets doctor.Thank you for being so nice." I replied almost smiling.

"You will pass the night here just incase you grow weary again.All is ok with you but you need to have enough rest.I'll be next door if you need anything."

"Ok doctor.Thanks."

When the doctor left, the girls immediately flowed in.Asking questions.I told them all was fine but the doctor asked me to rest.

After teasing me a little Mary the girls and Adela left.I was thinking of how to tell Him I'm pregnant I dosed off ...
