The presidential candidate of the labour party in the 2023 election, Peter Obi has given account of his campaign funds, says a reputable firm will be appointed to deal with the alleged financial mismanagement of the party.



Obi said this at a briefing in Abuja with his 2023 fund raising team.









The current trouble in the labour party over financial mismanagement is, by extension rub on integrity of the party leadership particularly, the presidential candidate Peter Obi.


He assured Nigerians of an independent auditor to scrutinize the various accounts of the party, and ensure all monies are accounted for.



His presidential fund raising team says 595.4 million naira was received from supporters and gives details on the expenditure.






The national treasurer Oluchi Opara has publicly accused the national chairman of the party Julius Abure of misappropriation of funds raised from the 2023 elections.
