The footsteps following me sounded closer. I ran through the empty corridors of the hospital, my heart pounding with terror.
I turned a corner and stopped short. I had reached a dead end. I felt fear wash over me like the mid Atlantic ocean.
"We need to get her over hear. If we don't, she'll become an even bigger nuisance." The woman's voice was stern and strong.
I began praying to God asking for a way out. I heard a voice and footsteps get louder and louder.
"Leave me ALONE!" I screamed as hard as I could. Then I think I woke up after.
A woman with bloodshot red eyes was staring at me. She asked if I was okay, but I flung the closest thing near me at the woman.
I thought I heard a small cry, but it eventually grew into laughter.
I began running and running. I suddenly stopped and realized that I was in the same hallway. The footsteps sounded in the same pattern as my dream. I realized that it wasn't a dream.
I remembered the same pain that's about to happen to me now.
I have died 26 times. How?
Then that same wretched women came and said
"You've finally caught on. Haven't you?"
I felt a stinging pain in my chest. I think I passed out. I was in the hospital bed again. The woman did the same thing as before. "Are you okay?" she said with a wild grin.
I looked up at her. "Hello, mother."
