One night, I stood by my window looking at the sky, hoping to find a star. But it had no stars. Then I heard a voice inside me say, "You're a star, look at yourself."

It was a beautiful Tuesday morning, Destar woke up and sat on his bed, thinking.
“It wasn't easy, I never thought I'd get this far,” he said as he recalled the days when he considered himself a failure, a good-for-nothing.

He faced many challenges growing up, which was no different from other children, but his case was a little more difficult because he did not have a father figure. And as a result of that, his mother had to go through hell to be able to take care of her 6 children. It wasn't easy, but she was a very tough woman and he was lucky to have her. She always knelt down to pray when the going got tough. Poor woman, but she always believed in God.
“Mom, one day I will make you proud,” he told her. "I believe you, my son," she replied, "God will make a way for us, it may not come right away, but it definitely will." She was positive about the future, another factor that made her unique and different from her peers.
