"My name is Lorylline, or just 'Lori' for short !"
I introduced myself to the doll-faced boy across the backyard's fence. My mom told me to be friendly with the neighbors since we've just moved in last month of October. Hence, I became very curious particularly to the Hudson House, a very huge mansion that sit just right next to our house.
My attention is drawn not only to the old fashioned mansion but to the peculiar boy I often saw from my window. I thought since moving here I won't be ever make any friends around my age since it seems distant to school. But since I saw this boy, I became determined to befriend him. I also think he had such a nice happy family, I used to hear their laughter as if they party every night!
One time he caught me staring, I got so embarrassed I didn't go out for a day. But when I saw him again, he smiled gently at me and waved! So I gained all my mighty courage the next day to introduce myself and hopefully be his friend.
"So, who are you ? " I awkwardly asked him.
I saw the boy looked down hesitantly....
