Chapter 29: Found Love
Ryan arrived at the hospital around 11:30 AM to help with Myra's discharge. As he was trying to speak to the nurse, he suddenly saw Myra's father approaching him. He said hello, and Myra's father said, 'Son, you better come with me. Leave all this; this is not important.' Ryan's heartbeat increased as he worried whether Myra was okay. Suddenly, he bumped into Cynthia in the hallway towards Myra's room. She was crying. He asked, 'Are you okay?,' but she did not respond. He then entered Myra's room, where a few police officers and security guards were taking Myra's statement. Ryan didn't want to interrupt them and stood in a corner listening. Myra explained what had happened, Jack's presence, and his actions. Even though Ryan was silently standing, you could see anger building inside him: his face started turning red, his eyes reddened, and his hands and head started shaking as if he was about to burst any second. He then noticed how scared Myra was; her hands were trembling with fear, her voice was shaky, tears were rolling down her cheek, and she was finding it difficult to share what happened. He walked towards her, took her hand in his hand. For a second, Myra was in shock as she did not notice Ryan walking into the room or coming towards her because she was looking at the officers. She then turned her head towards Ryan, and they looked at each other for a moment. That was all Myra needed.
