What can be said about the new year?
New beginnings, new resolutions
A new year comes,an old one goes
We smile every year, every day

We rise with bright sunlight
We lie down with weeping night
We laugh, cry, weep, hope, love
We have one year again to do this

Let this bad memory fade
Let us take a new leaf
Let us forget the mistakes of the past
Let us toast to the new year

We may be down at times
We may rise many times
We still have 365 days
One year to finish our book

I try to fill it colourfully
I try to make new memories
I have my own pages every day
I will make it even more beautiful

When I look ahead, I see each day
With many possibilities
Filled with warmth and comfort
Unopened treasure chest in my room

We must not stop ourselves
But to stand up and take hold
