when am down and troubled
when the whirlwind strikes
then I waited in vain for help
in anguish and pain; None came
In despair I watched friends turn to foes
in desperation they switched sides
for life despatched suicide to capture me
to end it all was his ultimate plan
but I vowed to remain steadfast
but not to give up nor give in
for hopelessness could not take me down
And Hope for better tomorrow has lifted me up
