3:5.14 9. Is pleasure – the satisfaction of happiness – desirable? Then must man live in a world where the alternative of pain and the likelihood of suffering are ever-present experiential possibilities.
Pained
I awoke with pain today.
I could not turn my head each way.
So stiff, I hope it will unwind.
Getting old’s a trip Divine.

Little small infirmities
Can build to such enormity
That we lose focus for the day.
At times we must relax and play.

Try to take our mind off self.
Take Tylenol when pain is felt.
Deal with life, because we must.
Relax, things will work out for us.

Take a nap, see if that helps
There are worse things that for which we’ve dealt.
Eventually pain goes away.
We won’t sleep again that way.

Assuming that is what went wrong.
I want my neck pain truly gone!
I guess it will not take too long.
I hope my neck can learn new songs

The stiffness slowly goes away
But still, I cannot move that way.
I pray tomorrow is a better day.
Allowing for more work and play.

Still, I’m thankful, Heavenly Father.
I am alive, my time goes further.
I pray for wisdom in my plight.
I know I need to learn what’s right.
