Words that heed
Gave time to his soul to lead,
became numb to his hearts plea,
the flesh must bleed,
castrate all evil deed,
from his shattered being,
there was much to give,
not much worthy to keep.

Could no longer permit his desires to preach,
leaching of his minds hunger for peace,
the knife was always in reach,
passing his verdict to kill without ease
what he deemed without need.
He, a single soul,
was it a foul to believe that love could heal the world,
as sorrow seeped into its roots and weeped.

A heart that's stitched,
his soul was rich,
all men's souls could be rich,
tormented by thoughts that creep,
mind drowned in the deep,
couldn't breach through all the noise the world released,
the night was bleak
but men feared darkness the least.
