Sat alone in my foolishness until I became fool proof
Spent time getting to know thyself
Softening my heart
Strengthening my spirit
I walked alone with nothing but God by my side
Even here I experienced unity
Days' in the dark
Ways of the wicked
Departure from the old me
Still beautiful as before Just a little less fragile and certain
No more settling for what might be behind the curtain or what lies behind door number four
Not anymore
Today is different
No longer an indifference
To who I am and who I want to be
Only an eager desire
To be the best me I can
Here I needed for nothing
I did not long for true love
I loved myself
I appreciated
I did not anticipate a savior in disguise a night in armour that shines
I experienced the cool calm of my new reality
Right before my very eyes stood a light
A soul that tied to mine effortlessly
A kindred spirit
A friend indeed
I knew you were meant to be
Sent to me
Not to set me free
But break chains with me
Strongholds
And battle our sins
This is the day that marked the day of a new journey
A march to the victory
Where you were my arc my shelter from the storm and God was my fiery
We are now passengers
On this flight
Together
We put up a fight
We make our bed and lie
