The Love of Light and Dark: Hades and Persephone
In the depths of the underworld,
Where darkness reigns supreme,
Lived Hades, the god of death,
In his gloomy, eternal dream.

But one day, he saw a maiden,
Persephone, with beauty so bright,
And he knew, in that instant,
He wanted her by his side, day and night.

Persephone, the goddess of spring,
Was lively and full of cheer,
And yet, she found herself drawn
To Hades, the one whom mortals fear.

Their worlds were so vastly different,
Like light and dark, they did seem,
But their love transcended all boundaries,
And in the underworld, it did gleam.

Hades, with his powerful strength,
And Persephone, with her radiant grace,
Together, they formed an unbreakable bond,
A love that time could not erase.

So even though they were opposites,
Their love was what brought them together,
And in the land of the dead, they ruled,
Hades and Persephone, forever and ever.
