I feel our castle crumbling down
into thin dust
to be swept away by the tourents of our tears
I’m sorry my love but why attack our castle
to take control of it
when you are already the king?
I try to tell you to stop
I beg you for mercy
but you continue to fire at us
at me
mercilessly
I’m sorry that I got angry
but when I asked you advice on how to rule
you pushed me away
so what was I supposed to do?
where did my king go?
I don’t understand
I don’t know what’s going on
and I know that you fighting your own battles
in that gorgeous head
but don’t ignore me
when all I want to do is help you fight them
don’t destroy the castle we’ve built
don’t try to make it crumble
because your hurting inside

so that’s why I went to the cottage
I needed some space
because I feel like my love
my partner
my king
has betrayed me
turned onto me in a fit of anger
and crumbled everything we’ve built
I will try to rebuild it in time
but know that instead of using sand
this time I’ll use brick and mortar
so it will be harder to replace
it will take more time
but my love
you are the love of my life
so I will do the work
I will build the castle brick by brick
hand by hand if I must
but please
don’t keep incinerating us into mere dust
