Love has a price
Am terrified of putting myself out there
I can't stomach the idea of letting someone in
The paranoia kicks in everytime anyone tries to get close
And I begin to worry for my heart, it has too many band aids to risk falling again
Love that despite being beautiful has dreadful claws that are waiting to cut deep into you and love that takes with no restraint
So whenever love comes knocking I run and lock out every possiblity
I hid my fear behind a cheeky smile or false uninterest
That's how broke I am
