You can handle
the questioning of Time
and this analysis of mine

its hard to catch you off guard
and stop you from smiling

but there yet remains what remains

you can't handle

and there's always bad news in the works

you say what you say
that it's ok when
it's not ok


It makes you stronger
that's the tale that you tell
but its just another day when you fell


You pretend it does't matter that much
when it rains on love


when will it stop
the need to stay

instead of the need for
running away?

You don't have to pretend
it doesn't matter the
words that toy you


sticks and stones
may break bones
but being let down
mostly destroys you


what is the weather report?
partly cloudy
with hopes
that fall short


it's gone along enough
when it rains on love.
