Confectionery? Maybe Not
Oh!
Sweet smelling confectionery,
Why do you taste so foul?
Your too sweetened sugar,
My stomach has rejected,
Your layered icing,
Coating my tongue with sticky and sickening saliva.
Your looks,
Carefully handmaded,
Were I suppose,
Artificial,
The cherry on your top,
A hat upon your head,
To appease us.
A beautiful lited candle stuck on you,
With a bright flaming fire,
While the children gather round,
To sing merry and gay songs,
Whilst the parents gather round,
Scraping off,
The wax melting on you.
