Late night, when all is still,
And the world is at rest,
My mind begins to wander,
To times that were the best.

The memories come flooding back,
Of laughter and of joy,
Of moments shared with loved ones,
That no time can destroy.

I remember long-forgotten songs,
That we used to sing,
And the happiness that they brought,
To all of us within.

I recall the jokes we shared,
And the silly things we'd do,
And the way that we would laugh,
Until our faces turned blue.

Late night, when all is dark,
And the stars light up the sky,
I'm grateful for these memories,
That keep my heart alive.

For though those times are gone,
And we're all grown up now,
The memories will live on,
And forever they'll endow.

So I'll keep them close at hand,
And cherish them with care,
For they're a part of who I am,
And the love that we all share.
