It was a beautiful day when I left you
even though the relationship was through
it's been a while since I last had me some joy
just being with you made me feel destroyed.
My guess is that we've been done for a while
by leaving, I regained my peace and my smile
I walked away from a relationship I knew
it took me a while to accept we were through.
