The Last Encounter
#WritcoPoemPrompt48
Write a poem about a time that your illusions of someone or something were shattered.

Loitering at the corner of the hospital, with a satiric smile,
I was ruminating something which will ensue, or may not.
Shutting my eyes with an aspiration in my heart,
I spotted the similar oval face , with those striking orbs.
Peering at me, with care in them , she is nourishing my face,
I could watch the countenance, turning fade and pale.

Her wavy and long hair, is flapping alike leaves giving a warmth to me,
Trying to utter that I shouldn't cry for she will be OK.
She raised her hand and persevered it on my head with love,
I kept mine over her fingers holding them tightly,
Vicinity, was too dark to behold someone else with it,
And I never wanted her to get vanished in the air,
Feeling this I cried alike a cloud burst out in pain,
I sensed my soul to be scratched every hence and forth.

Wanting to ask God the fault for which ,he is punishing me,
Suddenly those fingers fell on my tears clearing them,
I craved for her to speak but the silence never broke,
When she parted her lips , it left a smirk on her own face,
I wanted to hawl and scream as she was not the one living life,
We too were walking with her on the same side.
But those barren eyes carry a lot of untold pain in them,
I wish I could have snatched some without shame.

When I opened my eyes, the same scenerio came in front of me,
Yet she in nowhere to be seen in the middle of chores,
"She is no more"a voice from inside screamed aloud,
This time I didn't cry nor did I get broken into pieces,
She shattered the stars of my hopes which I created,
And decided to go ahead rather than returning to me,
I thought something which would have happened or might not,
You lost the war and so did I cause you never fought it,
After arranging those smiles of your face in my heart,
I lost you forever after getting you in my
life,
Entering the room where she left, I saw her,
The lifeless face with barren eyes and parted lips leaving a smirk,
The lane connecting our hearts will provide this,
The message I wanted to give,"Mom, I love you".
