People are forever ready to mock others not realising how much distress they may be causing. Laugh one must be cheerful, but how one should go about this it is what this poem says.
It is easy at others to laugh
Without thinking for a minute half,
Alas! How embarrassing do we make him
When we make him uneasy and squirm.
Why not we laugh with others
As we do with our brothers,
We make friends more
And us they will surely adore.
Learn we must at ourselves to laugh,
Do not at this scoff,
But courage it needs from us,
Hats off to him who so does.
