I wake up in the morning,
the sun is up
the birds are up,
singing a tune of delight.

Children are awake,
giggling with silly jokes that make no sense,
excited for the day,
not a worry about what might happen or what tomorrow brings,
peace is in their little souls.

Teens talking and laughing of the crazy things friends do,
laughing at each other,
for they are not to be afraid to be themselves,
acting, talking as teens do.

Husband wakes up,
gives me a kiss,
smiles at me with twinkling brown eyes,
he warms the house with the scent of pancakes and eggs.
His music that makes us laugh,
with his crazy dance only family sees,
a voice that is not a pleasent sound,
with our ears plugged and chuckled smirks,
oh, what a horrible cute sound.
But, oh, what an adorable man,
who brings protection and love to our hearts and home,
a fighter of fear and endurance,
he is a strength to our crazy life,
a preisthood holder who brings healing by the spirit,
oh, what a wonderful imperfect man who has my beating heart.

I wake up breathing, listening, smelling, and feeling a comfort of a warm home and bed,
knowing everyday is another chance.
knowing after an argument,
love still comes,
knowing that when sadness comes,
comfort comes as well,
knowing that morning prayer feels me with strength and endurance to fight every day trial.
knowing god is there to help us lift our yoke, through others inspired graceful hands,
knowing the gratitude is the way to live today, seeing the unnoticed small things of everyday no matter circumstance,
gratitude and a prayerful heart,
is my boxing gloves of life.

I wake up with a tune in my heart "oh, what a wonderful world."
I allow gratitude to fill my heart with joy, instead of dark fog of complaints that bury my soul in the depths of hell.
I CHOOSE to live a brigtened grateful heart to lead my life.
With God as my life coach and support to box the daily demons of life.

I choose you today and forever.
For joy is worth the fight and beating tune of my heart!
