Scars
I followed the scars
left on my heart and
it led me to where you are,
my soul healer, you gave me
the power to free my mind
and let my heart open it's
doors once again to the world.
You told me my scars were beautiful
because of all the pain I went through,
I still made it to you.
I carry my scars with no shame,
I carry them as tools I use to
get through all the hell I went through. They created a path for me
that led me to uncertainty,
and that's the beautiful thing
about the unknown, the unexpected
can be beautiful.
You are my unexpected beautiful destination, my home, my heart, my soul,
I found all the things I lost in you
then you healed all my wounds.
That's what love does and what love is.
A journey to finding yourself through somebody else and being healed by
shared love.
