Deep Wounds
What happens when the damage is so deep, it can't be undone.
Do you throw in the towel, or do you admit that they've won.
Do you put on a mask, to swallow your tears.
Or do you focus on the good, throughout all of the years.
Do you write down a list of the pros and the cons, or do you question possibilities of creating a bond.
A bond that you thought was impossible to break, even if for my suffering sake.
And when you look into their eyes, tell me what do you see? A reflection of betrayal or a reflection of me?
And if I am not the apple, tell me where is the seed. And if this is not a wound, tell me why does it bleed.
