Father
Every time I look at you,
I recall the yesteryears.
The times when you were stronger,
so vibrant and full of cheer.

The once shiny black hair,
has now turned to grey.
That once stalky and masculine built,
now replaced by a body that's frail.

Your eyesight fails you,
that I can clearly see,
when it takes quite some time,
to search for what you seek.

Oh my father,
how I wish those times were back.
Seeing you age with passing time,
makes my heart ache.

Thank you for the years you spent,
taking care of us,
now it is our turn,
to take care of you.
