my face as of a blank canvas,
my emotions never show.
you see no tears fall from my eyes,
because inward is where they flow.
I guess all the hurt and frustrations,
that life has thrown my way.
not because I fear my feelings,
it just makes it easier to cope each day.
I don't want you to have to worry,
about the way that I may feel.
I just want that when you look at me
you are a man of steel.
I am a rock both strong and solid,
an anchor on which you can lean.
so don't think that I don't love you
when on my face it is not seen.
