It's midnight and the clock's ticking
so loud in the silence,
They all are awake, working hard
and I don't know what to do.
This noise wasn't notable in the daytime,
I did underestimate the guidance.
Now the time's just passing by
and I've no idea that's true.
There was a time they used to say
when i was at my peak,
I always knew what I had to do
and yet I was so sleek.
It's so dark and I am lost
it's nothing but a surmise,
but I wish the clock hadn't been so strong
