Who knew that the Sun and the Moon would coincide again,
That the entirety of the Moon’s heart has yearned the Sun,
While their mind desired the Earth,
Both the Moon and earth knew it was inevitable from the start,
There was never a winning battle against the heart,
For it was never about the Earth,
It was invariably about the Sun,


The Earth showed the moon the love it craved for,
The door was left ajar only for the Moon to leave an aching wound,
The Sun never deserved the Moon,
For it left a damaged Moon with a pulverized heart,
But the Moon’s heart was still trapped within the entanglement of the Sun,
Still stuck in the past and not being able to escape the darkness,
Their whole existence revolves around the Sun,


The Earth watched as the Moon slowly slipped away from their grasp,
Though the Earths love was true and honest,
It was never enough to be chosen by the Moon,
The Sun would’ve always been their first choice,
So the Earth watched from afar with a smile on their face,
Though it caused an aching pain in their chest,
And their eyes slightly swollen from the tears,
The Earth wished the Sun and the Moon happiness.
In the end, the heart won the battle.
