Is She Still With Me?
I know that nothing will bring her back.
But, somehow I can't help but wonder.
Is she still here with me now?
Is that why I can't shake it off.
The consuming, pulling feeling,
that keeps me from moving on.
There have been many times,
when I thought I glimpsed her.
A shadow of her silhouette.
Her face in the mirror.
Feeling a hand on my shoulder,
in the dead of night.
My only hope is a revelation.
A positive confirmation.
That my daughter is still with me.
If she is, I want to know how,
she can fill this gigantic hole.
The cave-in, in my chest, that was
left, when she left.
