Emote Treaty
They were with me before I suddenly shot out
Mid shout— from my home of nine months or thereabouts

They're a massive piece of me— housed beneath my skin
They're the part of me that I have to halt to win
But how does someone eliminate their womb mates
How does somebody take on emotional states

Leashing those emotive beasts simply makes them mad
When they're mad they're sure to make sure I feel right sad
And when they can keep me quite sad I can't do much
I reckon that is why they always win and such

I'm playing checkers while my emotions play chess
At least at this point in life that would be my guess

Leashing angers them and I've tried harsh disregard
But I was fooling 'round with fire— I got charred
They warn us about many a thing in this life
But not your emotes stabbing your own back with knife

With leashing and ignoring both off all tables
I'm thinking perhaps I'll go with jumper cables
Give my emotions an electrifying zap
They'll either fall in line or it will be the wrap

They may think that I'm just capping but I am not
I'll get to zapping soon as the cables are hot

Let's just hope that all my emotes do not survive
Cuz after that they'll be like a bee robbed of hive
They'll likely come for me just like I did for them
Leaving my soul in a way worst state of condemn

Maybe I will just let my emotions live on
And learn to play chess to avoid being their pawn
Perhaps I will just let my emotive boat float
Make them sign a treaty— a promissory note

We, messed up emotions, ever solemnly swear
To not ruin each day, making it hard to bear

Do you think they would sign— down on the dotted line?
Do you think they would finally just be like— fine
You win— let's share this silky alabaster skin
Or would a whole new set of problems just begin?
